I would definately recommend going to the campus to visit sometime before you apply. Go for College Days, but go a few days early or stay a few days after. Visit some classes, get a feel for what it is really like.

Stay teachable! One of the biggest problems people have here is that they come here thinking they know it all. They'd never admit it, but that's it. You're going to learn, not just sit around in a classroom. That means you have to keep an open mind. Learning isn't always easy, but it's worth it.
